Kingdom Life

Jesus didn't die just to get us into the Kingdom of Heaven, He also died to get the Kingdom of Heaven into us! We were created to live supernatural lives of faith that burst with His glory and goodness. The life of a true Christ-follower is anything but boring.

Each and every one of us has been designed with an inner spiritual fire just waiting to be ignited. The Bible tells us that our Creator has set eternity into our hearts. This means we all have a deep longing for the more. A yearning to be united with our Heavenly Father and for our lives to overflow with His glory.

If we don't recognize this longing for what it is, we will look to everything else to satisfy it. Movies, sports, thrill-seeking. Some will turn to alcohol or drugs. Others to New Age practices or even witchcraft. Why is this? I believe it's because Christianity has been reduced to a list of rules and rituals instead of being taught as the vibrant, supernatural, breathtaking adventure that it is. We search for excitement in all the wrong places.

What could be more exhilarating than having a personal relationship with the God who created the universe? Christians have the privilege of partnering with God to bring about His will on this planet. We get to be His ambassadors, His sent ones. We get to hear directly from Him via the Scriptures and the voice of His Holy Spirit, which speaks to us daily.

Do you read the book of Acts and get excited about the way the early church lived? Nothing has changed, Friend! We are still empowered and commisioned to live the way those believers lived.

We are gifted with the power of the Holy Spirit to lay hands on the sick and heal. We have the authority to literally cast out demons and trample all of the powers of darkness. We get to receieve prophetic words of knowledge to encourage and edify others.

We hold the keys to life. Hope. Truth. Peace, joy, and love.

We are entrusted with the good news of the gospel - that Jesus came to set us free. We get to live every day with the anticipation of all the good works God has prepared for us to walk in that day. We get to see people saved, healed, and delivered.

The Holy Spirit, the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, lives inside of us and empowers us to bring the Kingdom of Heaven wherever we step foot. We are warriors for Jesus.

What on Earth could be more exciting than that?!

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20
