Jesus at the Door

Hello Friend! If you have stumbled upon this article I don't believe it is by accident. Have you seen this picture before? Are you a person who prays? This is a picture of Jesus, knocking on the door of your heart. Notice that the handle of the door is on the inside. Only you can open the door and let Him in.
Prayer can be like talking through the door. You know someone is out there, possibly listening, but you aren't really sure. You don't know Him personally.
So now I want you to visualize wearing a backpack. If that backpack were full of your sins...your mistakes, your failures...would it be heavy? I know mine sure would. I was a train wreck for most of my life. So the backpack represents our debt with God. It prevents us from having a relationship with Him.
Now, imagine you owed the bank $10,000. If I gave you a check for that amount and you deposited it in the bank, your debt would be paid off. What Jesus did for you on the cross is a similar transaction. He wrote a check for you and signed it in His blood. He essentially said, "Here, let me take that backpack from you so you can have the relationship with God that you've been created to have."
Today, He is standing at the door to your heart and asking you if you want to cash that check. If He were here right now, would you let Him in? Would you turn from the road you are on without Jesus, change direction and follow Him?
I don't know who you are or what your background is, but I do know this: God loves you so much. He loves you so much that He sent His Son to wipe out your sins as far as the east is from the west. He desires deeply to have a relationship with you, a relationship made possible by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
I didn't grow up in church. I came from a very wild background and I was the absolute least likely person to be following Jesus with the passion that I have today. But God swept me up in His love and He gave me a life beyond my wildest dreams and imaginations. He has touched me so deeply that I will never be the same. His Holy Spirit has filled me and empowered me to do the most miraculous things and to shine His light wherever I go.
And He wants to do the same for you, Sweet Friend! It's not about religion. It's not about trying to be a good person. It's about relationship, a relationship where you speak to God and He speaks to you. It's about accepting the goodness of Christ and allowing that to transform you from the inside out. Any religion can modify behavior...only Jesus can change the heart.
If you are ready to say yes to Jesus I would love for you to pray this prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I open the door of my heart to you today. I am sorry for my sin, and I accept what Jesus has done for me. Jesus, I choose to follow You and make you the Lord of my life. Father, fill me with Your Holy Spirit and enable me to hear Your voice. Empower me to be everything You have created me to be. In Jesus name, Amen.
If you just prayed this prayer please reach out to me! I would love to pray over you, give you some next steps, and help to answer any questions you have. This is truly the day that will change everything, the beginning of a brand new life. The angels are rejoicing and so am I!!
Xoxoxo, Amy
